What this site keeps, and what it does not.

When you send a form

A quote request or a report is emailed to me and kept: your name, your email address, what you wrote and any files you attached — and, so that I can tell a real request from one sent by a machine, the address it came from and the place that address points to, the browser, and the page it was sent from. A form you start and do not send is kept for 30 days, in your browser and with me, so that I can send you one email with the way back to it.

Booking a session: your name, your email and what you would like to work on come to me with the booking. The payment is taken by Stripe on its own page; I never see your card. Asking for the template or for the next guide: your email address, so that I can send it to you.

In your browser

This site sets no cookies. It keeps a few things in the browser’s own storage, on your device: the light or dark theme you chose, your name and email so the next form is filled in, a form or a booking you left half-way, and a random id for this browser so that visits can be counted. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes all of it.

How visits are counted

No Google Analytics, no advertising network, nothing from a third party watches you here. The site counts its own visits: which pages were opened and how far they were read, what was pressed, the country and city, the kind of device and browser, and the size of the window — never what is typed into a form. The address a visit came from is kept only as a fingerprint that cannot be turned back into the address. If this browser has sent a form, its visits are kept under that name, so that I can see what a request was about.

Who else handles it

The site runs on Vercel. Files you attach go to Google Cloud Storage (Firebase). Email is sent through Resend; payments go through Stripe. A video’s still comes from YouTube, and its player — YouTube’s own, in its no-cookie form — loads only when you press play.
